In the early 20th century, everyone in the industry wanted to work for Ralph Modjeski. His bridges would become American landmarks. Spanning two eras of transit, Bridging Urban America pays tribute to significant superstructure still in service today. Riveting stories of the iconic Ben Franklin in Philadelphia, the New Orleans politics behind the Huey P. Long Bridge, the Quebec Bridge catastrophe and its reconstruction, pivotal in engineering history and for the Kahnawake nation.
