Pewabic was founded in 1903 by innovator Mary Chase Perry Stratton. In the early twentieth century, her experiments with glazes changed the face of contemporary ceramics. During this tour and workshop, you will have the opportunity to see the pottery at work, visit its museum and learn about its evolution into a contemporary 21st-century studio. You will then head to the Education Studio where you’ll learn the basics of tile making. Clay and materials will be provided, and in 4-6 weeks you will be able to pick up your completed project.
