Detroit 67: The Healing, Reconciliation & Truth Collective's 1-Year Reunion

July 6 2018 | 5:00pm to July 7 2018 | 7:55pm

Admission is free, but please register at eventbrite.com

One year ago, a collective of nearly 50 community members gathered to participate in a day-long interactive workshop designed to serve as a platform for enhancing local dialogue re: community reconciliation, healing, and advancement. This event was made possible thanks to a special collaboration with the Detroit Revitalization Fellows Program and the Ingoma Foundation. Since that time, the Detroit Historical Society has proudly hosted more than 150 public programs as part of the Detroit 67 Project/Community Engagement Initiative. In the spirit of community, we would like to celebrate our successes, reflect on lessons learned, and consider future possibilities for using history as a catalyst for social change. We want to hear from you! We invite all of last year's participants to join us, as well as those that were unable to attend. All are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend, but space is limited.

Dinner will be served.

Parking is available in the lot adjacent to Dossin Great Lakes Museum; however, a State Parks Permit is required and available for purchase at the entrance of Belle Isle.
