"The Conant Gardens neighborhood dates to 1928. This Northern Detroit neighborhood is bound by Conant and Nevada Streets and East 7 Mile and Ryan Roads. Conant Gardens has a rich history, please join us as we discuss the neighborhood and the people that live there now and in the past.

Mr. Orlin Jones has lived in this neighborhood all his life and is one of eight authors who wrote a book about this neighborhood, Conant Gardens a Black Urban Community, 1925-1950.
