Tales from the D takes you on a musical journey into the lives, careers, and songwriting skills of iconic Detroit musicians. 

The evening features a reception with cash bar and light hors d'oeuvres, episode screening, and a TBA performance.

Don Was founded Was (Not Was) in 1981 and became a highly respected record producer, collaborating with artists like Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, and Iggy Pop. A multi-Grammy winner, he also worked as a musical director for films, earning a BAFTA for Backbeat and directing the Brian Wilson documentary I Just Wasn't Made for These Times. Since 2012, he has served as President of Blue Note Records.
