Book talk: Living Witnesses: Faces of the Holocaust, Monni Must

Join us for a book signing and thought-provoking conversation with Monni Must, author of LIVING WITNESSES: FACES OF THE HOLOCAUST, and Detroit Historical Society Board Vice Chair Linda Schlesinger-Wagner.

Itinerary for the afternoon:

1:00 PM Monni Must book signing in Auditorium Showcase. All attendees will receive a free copy of the book.

2:00 PM Slideshow of portraits from the book and audio clips of accompanying interviews. Commentary on the writing process with Monni Must and Linda Schlesinger-Wagner.

Ages 6+

Families are invited to join us for a group tour of the museum, featuring our Origins: Life Where the River Bends, America's Motor City and Streets of Old Detroit exhibitions. After the tour, participants are welcome to stay and explore the rest of the galleries.

$6 per child, one free chaperone, $8 additional chaperones (includes admission and programming)

We’ll also explore three of Dearborn’s historic buildings to learn the history of Detroit’s neighbor to the west, from its beginnings as home of the Detroit Arsenal and evolution to the modern, diverse city of today.

Frederick Stearns House Historic Inn

Tour the historic Frederick Stearns house, a tudor-style structure on E. Jefferson Avenue that is now a fully operational bed and breakfast. At some 16,000 square feet, the stucco and timber historic mansion was built in 1902 for Frederick K. Stearns, a pharmaceutical magnate and key player in the city’s turn-of-the-century cultural scene.
