6th Annual Course of History Golf Classic Presented by Burns & Wilcox

The Course of History Golf Classic returns to the Country Club of Detroit on Monday, September 23rd! We'll start the day with coffee and our Bloody Mary Bar at the warm up facilities before heading out for an enjoyable round one of Michigan’s most exclusive courses. After your round, stay and join us for food and cocktails on the clubhouse lawn. Once again, we expect ideal pace-of-play and an enjoyable event that benefits the Detroit Historical Society.

Dress Code: Soft spikes only. Men: Golf slacks or Bermuda shorts with a tucked-in collared shirt is proper Club attire. Denim, jeans, gym shorts and cargo shorts are not permitted on the course. Hats may not be worn in the clubhouse, except the locker room. Women: May wear sleeveless shirts if they have a collar. Skirts are permitted in good taste.
Format: Scramble with a shotgun start
Time Frame:
11 a.m. Check-in opens. Warm up facilities open with Bloody Mary Bar, light breakfast snacks and coffee available. Use of member locker rooms will be available.
12:30 p.m. Shotgun start. Beer, High Noon, Gatorade, water and lunch/snacks will be available on the course at the Oasis Station (Holes 5/6 and 12/13 intersection), sponsored by Goldman Sachs. There will be closest to the pin and long drive contests during the round, sponsored by Fisher Dynamics.
5:30 p.m. Food & cocktails will accompany an awards ceremony on main terrace/bowling green. Come enjoy the new outdoor renovations at sit on the patio by the fireplace!
