Masonic Temple

Explore Detroit’s Masonic Temple, the largest building of its kind in the world. Completed in 1926, its unique design included 1037 rooms in total—three theaters, a Shrine building, the Chapel, eight lodge rooms, a 17,500 square foot drill hall, two ballrooms, 16 bowling lanes, and more—in addition to a powerhouse that generated all electricity for the complex.

2024 Concert of Colors: Louder Than Love Film Screening

Watch, listen and learn from music icons like BB King, Slash, Alice Cooper, Roger Daltrey and many others, as they tell the story of the impact that the Grande Ballroom had not only on the City of Detroit, but on the world of Rock and Roll. Directed and produced by Tony D’Annunzio and edited by Karl Rausch.

If you've ever wanted to see a 100-year-old boat motor run, or appreciate the futuristic designs of mid-century outboards, stop by the Dossin Great Lakes Museum for this outdoor show.

This annual event is presented in partnership with the Great Lakes Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc., and features dozens of outboard motors, antique skiffs and race boats, and model racing boats.

No RSVP is necessary for this free event! Admission to the museum will also be free during event hours.
