Museum Mixology: Detroit's Prohibition Cocktails
Zoom Virtual Class
Sunday, June 14, 2020
5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Support the Detroit Historical Society and learn about Prohibition in the city with this hands-on cocktail mixing class. Detroit's location made it a critical hub of activity for gangsters during Prohibition. Learn all the fascinating ways booze was smuggled across the border and hear stories about what it was like to live in the city during Prohibition. You'll receive recipes in advance and can mix along at home as Tammy Coxen, owner of Tammy's Tastings and co-author of the book "Cheers to Michigan", demonstrates how to make three of the cocktails you might have enjoyed at one of Detroit's many speakeasies. This registration is good for one computer, which means the entire household can mix along!
This virtual class is hosted via a Zoom session. Registrants will receive a link, cocktail recipe and ingredients lists after they have registered.
