Join us in the Detroit Historical Museum's auditorium for a special screening of Gradually, then Suddenly, winner of the 2021 Library of Congress Lavine/Ken Burns Prize for Film. A Q&A with Executive Producer/Director Sam Katz, Director James McGovern and Chastity Pratt of the Wall Street Journal will follow the screening.
About the film: Gradually, then Suddenly is the story of Detroit’s monumental climb out of bankruptcy toward a new era. In this narrative documentary, people of all backgrounds and viewpoints find common ground in their search for a possible future. Detroit’s recovery is a model for the nation. Film runtime: 95 minutes.
