Pingree Detroit is a worker-owned cooperative that transforms upcycled automotive materials into handcrafted accessories. They also teach entrepreneurship, creating pathways for every maker on their team to become co-owners. We’ll tour the company and learn about its history and current successes.

Youth volunteer and teacher Emmanuel Smith is devoted to finding innovative ways to support his pupils. His Michigan Emmy award-winning public access TV show empowers children to be lifelong learners. We’ll learn about the “hustle” of Mr. E’s entrepreneurship and his contributions to educating Detroit kids.
