Join us for an enriching afternoon discussing the Black Heroes of Detroit’s Eastside, 1900-1990: Where they lived, worked, played, and prayed.
This program will explore efforts since 1971 to identify the eastside people and places associated with Black civil rights and the struggle for equality.

Windsor Masonic Temple

Cross the border with us to visit the 100-year-old Windsor Masonic Temple. We’ll explore the historic building and discuss its use as a Masonic meeting place, community center, and host to many social celebrations for Canadians and Michiganders alike.
Please note: This tour will require crossing the border into Canada via the bridge or the tunnel. Proper documentation is required to enter; a passport is recommended. Please allow extra travel time.

Freep Film Festival - Works-in-Progress
Directors of two in-progress documentaries will be on hand to show off short samples of their work at this year’s Works-in-Progress event. At this free event, the filmmakers will talk about their films while showing clips of the in-process docs. They will then receive feedback from a panel of documentary filmmakers and producers.
