Shiver on the River
Bundle up and join us for another year of the Shiver on the River Eco Fair on Saturday, February 3! From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friends of the Detroit River will host the event inside the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle with FREE family fun, food and entertainment.
Admission is free with no advance registration necessary.

Hustle Gala
Our celebration of Detroit’s Black Entrepreneurs concludes with a fantastic party! Show up and show out with Detroit's best as we hustle the night away. The red-carpet event will feature cocktails, a strolling dinner, entertainment by DJ Darryl G, and dancing with Detroit dance legend Fast Freddy. Attire is Hustle Fabulous (cocktail attire).

Families are invited to join us for a group tour of the museum, featuring our Origins: Life Where the River Bends, America's Motor City and Streets of Old Detroit exhibitions. After the tour, participants are welcome to stay and explore the rest of the galleries.

Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit

Explore the second oldest continuously operating Catholic parish in the U.S. Founded by French explorers in 1701, the parish has ministered to thousands of people during Detroit’s most trying times. On March 1, 2020, Archbishop of Detroit Allen Vigneron announced that Pope Francis had named Ste. Anne a minor basilica, one of only 86 churches in the country and three in the state of Michigan to hold this title.

Frederick Stearns House Historic Inn

At some 16,000 square feet, the stucco and timber historic mansion was built in 1902 for Frederick K. Stearns, a pharmaceutical magnate and key player in the city’s turn-of-the-century cultural scene.
