Belle Isle Mobility Open House
For the last year, a team of engineers, planners, and landscape architects have been looking for sustainable ways to improve travel onto and around Belle Isle. They have developed Seven (plus) Big Ideas for achieving this goal and invite the public to the Belle Isle Mobility Open House at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum to review these potential solutions and give their feedback.

Antique Outboard Motor Club Meet
If you've ever wanted to see a 100-year-old boat motor run, or appreciate the futuristic designs of mid-century outboards, stop by the Dossin Great Lakes Museum for this outdoor show.
This annual event is presented in partnership with the Great Lakes Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc., and features dozens of outboard motors, antique skiffs and race boats, and model racing boats.
No RSVP is necessary for this free event! Admission to the museum will also be free during event hours.

Join us for a conversation with renowned producer Don Was and activist and writer John Sinclair, moderated by WDET's Ann Delisi with musical performances by George Montrelle.
The event will take place on Legends Plaza and include casting these Detroit legends' hands in cement for later display in the outdoor exhibit.

Film Screening: Concert of Colors: Unity in Diversity
After the 1967 rebellion, Detroit with its storied music history became a powerful engine for cultural renewal in the fight for diversity and equality. Music was very much a part of all that. “Concert of Colors: Unity in Diversity” is a retrospective film that celebrates 30 years of the Concert of Colors, all that was achieved and all the work still ahead.
