Join the Detroit Historical Society for a conversation on community health and care. Malik Yakini, Executive Director, Detroit Black Community Food Security Network, will discuss the history and contemporary impact of food as health and wealth for Black Detroiters and beyond.
From food economies to to food deserts, the discussion will uncover and share his personal and learned expertise to forge a connection between the significance of the present and its influence on the future.
