Corktown is Detroit’s oldest extant neighborhood, established in 1834 and containing over 180 years of rich history. Most if not all of the immigrants who settled in the area left Ireland from the Port of Cork and they bonded with that in common. Hence the name Corktown! Discover its residential charms as we explore the neighborhood.
