Edmund Fitzgerald Special Event Station

To commemorate the 49th anniversary of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, LARC will operate Special Event Station W8F "live" from Dossin Great Lakes Museum Saturday Nov. 9, 11 AM-3:30PM EST.

We will operate SSB, CW and digital modes. Watch spotting sites for QRG updates.

ALSO... from November 1 (0000 UTC) through November 12 (2359 UTC), LARC members may operate signing as W8F, from their home stations. Hams who have logged a QSO with W8F from 11/1-11/15 may request our commemorative certificate/QSL. The November 9 operation from Belle Isle will also be a POTA (Parks on the Air) activation, US-1487, and U.S. Islands, MI004R
