2024 Detroit China Day

Michigan Alliance of Chinese Community Organizations proudly present 2024 Detroit China Day – the 8th Chinese American Culture & Arts Festival. The event is to provide an opportunity for people in Michigan to experience the richness of Asian/Chinese culture and build stronger community ties. There will be activities for everyone, bring your family and friends for this educational and fun experience.

Activities are included with museum admission, no registration required.

Schedule:

1:00 - 3:30 PM

Culture performances (Allesee Gallery of Culture, 1st Level)

Including dragon, lion, panda demonstration, traditional instrument ensemble,  traditional clothing fashion shows, Peking opera, martial arts, singing, dancing etc.

2:00 – 3:30 PM

live painting demonstration and workshop (America’s Motor City, 1st Floor)          

3:30 - 4:45 PM

Community recognitions and awards ceremony (Auditorium, Lower Level) 

1:00 - 5:00 PM

Chinese instruments and Traditional Chinese attire workshops (Motor City Music, 1st Level)

Games and craft workshops (Streets of Old Detroit, Lower Level)

Tea and food tasting (Depot, Lower Level)
