The Model T Automotive Heritage Complex Inc was established in April 2000 and remains today dedicated to the mission of preserving the Piquette Avenue Plant.

Motor Cities Automobile National Heritage


MotorCities National Heritage Area is an affiliate of the National Park Service dedicated to preserving, interpreting and promoting the automotive and labor heritage of the State of Michigan.

Motown Historical Museum


Founded in 1985 by Esther Gordy Edwards, the Museum's mission is to preserve the legacy of Motown Record Corporation and to educate and motivate people, especially youth, through exhibitions and programs that promote the values of vision, creativity and entrepreneurship.

National History Education Clearinghouse


Teachinghistory.org is designed to help K–12 history teachers access resources and materials to improve U.S. history education in the classroom. With funding from the U.S. Department of Education, the Center for History and New Media (CHNM) has created Teachinghistory.org with the goal of making history content, teaching strategies, resources, and research accessible.

Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society


The Society provides educational and cultural experiences through our four main attractions: Governor Moses Wisner homestead, known as Pine Grove; Drayton Plains One Room School, moved to the property in 1965; Research Library and Archives, containing extensive materials often not available elsewhere; Pioneer Museum, highlighting the county's rural past.

Oakland Township Historical Society


Oakland Township Historical Society was formed in 1974 by a group of dedicated individuals interested in preserving the unique history of Oakland Township.

Organization of American Historians


The Organization of American Historians promotes excellence in the scholarship, teaching, and presentation of American history, and encourages wide discussion of historical questions and equitable treatment of all practitioners of history.

Packard Motorcar Foundation


The Packard Motor Car Foundation is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the preservation of the products, history, and properties of The Packard Motor Car Company. The Foundation's activities, to support our goals, include fundraising, affiliations with museums, clubs, and programs of education, which will place us in a position to seek out, identify and participate in the preservation of the legacy of all American automobile companies.

Piast Institute


Piast develops conferences, seminars, publications, public programs, lectures, and exhibits that provide accurate, timely and current information about Poland, Poles, and Polish Americans. Piast Institute also acts as a data resource center helping Polish, Polish American and other community groups develop policy papers and historical, cultural, political, economic, social, and demographic studies on a wide variety of topics.

Plymouth Historical Society


The Plymouth Historical Society seeks to promote education by historical study and research; to collect, preserve and exhibit historical materials connected with the Plymouth Community; and to maintain the Dunning Memorial Building as the Plymouth Historical Museum.
