MLK Day Celebration
This MLK Day, meet Sharon Elizabeth Sexton, Chair of the Black Historic Site Committee, who will read from and discuss her new children's book MLK Jr's Detroit Dream. Based on her own experience of attending the 1963 Detroit Walk to Freedom, the book describes the triumphs and tragedies of the American Civil Rights movement from a child's perspective. Books will be available for purchase in the museum store.

Thirty-Five | 20 Opening
The Detroit Historical Museum will be open late (until 7 p.m.) on Saturday, January 27 to celebrate the Thirty-Five | 20 exhibition’s first day.
Pistons fans! Season ticketholders and anyone attending the January 27th Pistons-Wizards game at Little Caesars Arena can show a digital ticket stub at the museum front desk to receive free admission all weekend.
