Third Thursday Speaker Series: NOMA 50th Exhibition Panel

Join us for a special Third Thursday Speaker Series in conjunction with the opening of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), SAY IT LOUD exhibition in the Community Gallery. Celebrate the opening of this special exhibit and NOMA’s 50th Anniversary in Detroit, where the organization was founded in 1971.
Exploring the organization’s legacy of bringing diversity and nuance to this important field, the panel will reflect on the history of the national organization as well as the field of architecture and design as the speakers look to the next era in the industry.
Panelists include: Rod Hemni, FAIA, LEED AP, NOMA HKIT Architects Design Director; Saundra Little, FAIA, LEED AP, Quinn Evans Architects Principal; Maya Madison, AIA, NOMA, NCARB Moody Nolan Project Architect; and Paola Moya, AIA, Moya Architects and Moya Design Partners, CEO and Founder. The panel will be moderated by Imani Day, AIA, RVSN Studios, and include a video welcome from Curt Moody, FAIA, NOMAC, Moody Nolan Founder and Board Chair.
This panel discussion will be held in-person at the Detroit Historical Museum and livestreamed as part of the NOMA HOMECOMING: DETROIT 50 virtual conference.
