Sanders Thanksgiving
If you had to associate a holiday with Sanders, it would probably be Halloween or maybe Valentine’s Day. But let’s not forget a Sanders Thanksgiving is possible too! As this menu dated November 15, 1940 states, “It’s not too early to be planning your Thanksgiving festivities. All the Sanders departments have good-things-to-eat – many of them specially decorated – for Thanksgiving.” The menu features not only the classic desserts associated with Sanders, but also breakfast and lunch offerings. Items that stand out include raisin pie, royal Hawaiian sundaes, zwieback, prunes with cream, pork loaf, and Ovaltine. So whats on your family’s menu this Thanksgiving?
