A Happy Hudson’s Halloween to you all! These photos show some of the festive holiday decorations that were once on display at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store in downtown Detroit.
This spooky 1920s display features "Games for Halloween", "Dennison's Boogie Book", painted pumpkins, and spying owls.
Also from the 1920s, this photo from the Davis Hillmer Collection shows retail displays dressed with clown papier-mâché centerpieces and skeleton place holders, and stocked with edible and ornamental treats.
