Kresge Second Sundays - Free Museum Admission!
JUNE 9 | JULY 14 | AUGUST 11 | SEPTEMBER 8 | OCTOBER 13 | NOVEMBER 10 | DECEMBER 8 | JANUARY 12
To celebrate the new exhibition Kresge at 100, museum admission will be free on the second Sunday of the month through January 2025, courtesy of the Kresge Foundation.

Book talk: Living Witnesses: Faces of the Holocaust, Monni Must
Join us for a book signing and thought-provoking conversation with Monni Must, author of LIVING WITNESSES: FACES OF THE HOLOCAUST, and Detroit Historical Society Board Vice Chair Linda Schlesinger-Wagner.
Itinerary for the afternoon:
1:00 PM Monni Must book signing in Auditorium Showcase. All attendees will receive a free copy of the book.
2:00 PM Slideshow of portraits from the book and audio clips of accompanying interviews. Commentary on the writing process with Monni Must and Linda Schlesinger-Wagner.

Homeschool Day
Ages 6+
Families are invited to join us for a group tour of the museum, featuring our Origins: Life Where the River Bends, America's Motor City and Streets of Old Detroit exhibitions. After the tour, participants are welcome to stay and explore the rest of the galleries.
$6 per child, one free chaperone, $8 additional chaperones (includes admission and programming)

By popular demand - we're adding two Fall late night dates! Admission to the Detroit Historical Museum is free from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, courtesy of the William Davidson Foundation.
No advance registration is necessary.

To celebrate the opening of our new City of Champions gallery and our newest exhibition Detroit Lions: Gridiron Heroes, please join us for a book talk of The Enchanted Season.
The Enchanted Season, written by Lance Parrish and Tom Gage, tells the inside story of the Detroit Tigers' unforgettable 1984 season. The evening will include:
5-6pm – Opportunity to get a book signed by the authors
6-7pm – Book discussion moderated by Bill Dow
7-745pm – Q&A
