Carlos Diaz Exhibition Opening Reception

Join us for a special exhibition opening reception for 1984 World Series Street Portraits: Photography by Carlos Diaz. The evening will feature a discussion with Carlos Diaz and legendary sports writer Bill McGraw, moderated by Detroit Historical Society Director of Collections & Curatorial Jeremy Dimick. Ballpark-themed fare will be served.
Diaz is a former chair of the Photography Department at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he has taught for 37 years. Before taking his position at CCS, Diaz taught at Bowling Green State University and the University of Michigan, School of Art (now the Penny Stamps School of Art). Learn more here.
