Historic Houses Of Worship Tours
Since 1972, the Historic Houses of Worship Tour Series has acquainted metro Detroiters with the contributions religious institutions have made in the development of our community. Each tour typically features five area churches and highlights the importance of maintaining and preserving these historic sites as living history.
All tours depart from and return to the Detroit Historical Museum and run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Tours include motorcoach transportation with docent commentary, historical presentations at each tour stop, lunch, and donations back to each location. Tour prices are $40 for Detroit Historical Society members and $50 for guests.
Please see the event calendar for upcoming Historic Houses of Worship tours. Due to the popularity of these tours, it is recommended that you make reservations well in advance. No group or individual reservations will be held without payment in full.

The Historic Houses of Worship Tours are supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
