June 8 & 9

Running Time: 60 minutes

“Typeface” explores the twilight of an analog craft that is freshly inspiring artists in the digital age. The Hamilton Wood Type Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin personifies cultural preservation, rural rebirth, and the lineage of American graphic design. But the museum’s future is unclear. What is the responsibility of artists and historians to preserve a dying craft?

Following each screening of “Typeface,” you will be able to visit our print shop in the Streets of Old Detroit exhibit and talk with Ralph Rinaldi, who runs our printing press.
