Treats in the Streets
October 27 2024 | 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween tradition at the Detroit Historical Museum! Bring your little ghouls, goblins, and the whole family for a free, fun-filled event where kids can enjoy trick-or-treating through The Streets of Old Detroit.
Costumes are highly encouraged, and this is your chance to enjoy a safe, festive, and family-friendly Halloween experience right in the heart of Detroit!
Please note: As part of our community Halloween celebration for families, we ask that no costumes be worn that promote the use of illegal substances or activities or are derogatory, disrespectful or depict violence. Additionally, no weapons or depictions of weapons (nun-chucks/sickles/swords/knives/guns, etc.) will be allowed in the museum. Thank you for helping us keep this a family friendly event!
We will not admit anyone wearing a costume that includes any of the above.
In addition to trick-or-treating, we'll have family friendly activities all day long, including Halloween crafts, games, a Monster Mash dance party, and performances by puppeteer Richard Paul and illusionist David Melcher.
Admission is FREE with registration, with two staggered arrival times:
