Since 1972, the Detroit Historical Society’s Historic Houses of Worship tours have opened the doors to some of metro Detroit’s most architecturally and culturally significant religious landmarks. These thoughtfully guided experiences highlight the vital role faith communities have played in shaping the city’s neighborhoods, traditions, and identity. From soaring cathedrals to humble chapels, each tour offers a rare opportunity to explore the spiritual and social contributions of these enduring institutions.
Visit a curated series of houses of worship in the city, transported between sites on a comfortable bus. Ticket cost includes the bus, a boxed lunch and bottled water at one of the stops, and a donation to each of the destinations.
