The Enchanted Season, written by Lance Parrish and Tom Gage, tells the inside story of the Detroit Tigers' unforgettable 1984 season. The evening will include:

Lance Parrish was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania. While turning down a football scholarship to attend UCLA, Parrish was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the first round of the 1974 MLB draft. During his 18-year Major League career, Parrish played with seven different teams and was regarded as one of the best catchers in all of baseball during the 1980s. He was a key member of the Tigers 1984 World Series Championship. He was an eight-time All Star, a three-time Gold Glove Award winner and a six-time Silver Slugger Award winner. During his ten-year Tiger career, Parrish played in 1,146 games with 1,123 hits, 212 home runs and a .263 batting average. Following his retirement as an active player, Parrish has served as both a coach and a Minor League manager in multiple organizations, including the Tigers. Lance Parrish was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
Tom Gage covered the Tigers beat for the Detroit News from 1979 to 2014. In 2015, Gage won the J.G. Taylor Spink Award by the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
