Dear Friends,

Happy Holidays from the Detroit Historical Society! I hope you’llfind time to include us in your plans this month – our museums make a great destination for the whole family. Take advantage of our Free Holiday Sundays on December 3, 10, and 17, when both the Detroit Historical Museum and Dossin Great Lakes Museum will be open with free admission for everyone. In addition, the museums will be open with holiday week hours December 27–30 (with regular admission prices in effect).

Some highlights that you won’t want to miss at the Detroit Historical Museum:

Detroit’s Chinatowns, in the Community Gallery, tells the remarkable 150-year history of Detroit’s Chinese immigrant community through artifacts, photos, video, original art, and oral histories. It’s openuntil March 27, 2024.

The HustleDetroit’s Unsung Entrepreneurs, open now in Wrigley Hall, is the colorful, comprehensive exhibition in our ongoing project highlight the stories of Detroit's outstanding entrepreneurs and contemporary small business community.
