Virtual Third Thursday Speaker Series: At Home and Abroad

Please Note: The Detroit Historical Museum is closed due to flooding.

August 19 2021 | 6:30pm to 7:30pm

In honor of the Detroit Historical Society’s centennial anniversary, our upcoming Third Thursday Speaker Series events will focus on Detroit stories from the past that still impact us today. Each month's discussion will bring a contemporary perspective to a different decade of the last hundred years!

Follow the lineage of the Civil Rights Movement from the streets of Southern cities to the cockpit of WWII Redtails and the factory floors of Detroit during this panel discussion. Join us for a night of learning as we find the roots of change that grew from the push for equality on the battlefield and the homefront, and discover how this past continues into our present.
