Liberation, Trauma and Resilience: Message from a Black, Gay Man

LGBT Detroit, which was founded in 2003 as “KICK,” is a nonprofit organization with a mission to increase awareness of and support to Detroit’s dynamic LGBT culture through education and advocacy with integrity and pride. Over the years, the organization has supported and continues to advocate for the city’s LGBT community. The Executive Director of the organization, Curtis Lipscomb, will talk about the organization’s role in the city and its connection to civil rights and social justice.
