With the landscape of Detroit ever-changing, many historic buildings are saved and repurposed to give them new life. Join the Detroit Historical Society as we visit the Siren Hotel, former site of the world-famous Wurlitzer Building. Built in 1926 for the Wurlizter Company, which was already known in Detroit for providing organs for theaters like the Fox and Fillmore, it once showcased pianos and musical instruments, but went vacant in 1986. The building now shines as the internationally-visited Siren Hotel, Candy Bar and Karl's Diner.
