Limited tickets still available!

Palmer Park, a 296-acre park donated to the City of Detroit in the late 1800s by Senator Thomas Palmer and his Lizzie Merrill Palmer, is the home to some of the most unique and fascinating historical landmarks in the Detroit area that will be showcased on this tour: the Palmer's Log Cabin designed by George C. Mason and Zachariah Rice (a Victorian home encased in a rustic log exterior) and the Merrill Fountain designed in 1901 by John Carrere and Thomas Hastings, a pair of New York's top architects who also designed the New York Public Library.

Across from the Park sits the National Historic Register Palmer Park Apartment District, a neighborhood with magnificent and widely diverse styles of architecture, designed by some of Detroit's most prominent architects. The tour will be held primarily in the Park, with views of some of the apartments and a walk there if time permits.

Please note that this tour will take place rain or shine.
