Fall Film Series: Superior Lights on the Shipwreck Coast

October 13 2019 | 2:00pm to 3:00pm

In 1877, the U.S. Life-Saving Service opened four life-saving stations along a coast, often called the “Graveyard of the Great Lakes.” Stations were opened at Vermillion Point, Crisp Point, Big Two Hearted River and Sucker River/Deer Park. More shipwrecks occurred along this stretch of coastline than anywhere else on Lake Superior.

Admission is FREE. Shown at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. Running time: 58 minutes.

*Please note that this month's film will only be shown on Sunday due to a scheduling conflict.
