About the film

This newly restored 1968 film follows two young nuns, members of the Michigan-based Adrian Dominicans, through the politically fraught climate of Chicago in 1968, where they ask strangers a simple question — "Are you happy?" — and receive answers that range from mundane to hilarious to profound.
