Families are invited to join us for a group tour of the museum, featuring our Origins: Life Where the River Bends, America's Motor City and Streets of Old Detroit exhibitions. After the tour, participants are welcome to stay and explore the rest of the galleries.

$6 per child, $10 per adult (includes admission and programming for all participants)

To Commemorate the 47th Anniversary of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, LARC will operate Special Event Station W8F "live" from Dossin Great Lakes Museum Saturday Nov. 5, 11 AM-3:30PM EST.

23rd Annual Lost Mariners Remembrance

The annual Lost Mariners Remembrance returns for its 23rd consecutive year of honoring professional sailors lost on the Great Lakes. On the anniversary of the sinking of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald, a lantern vigil at the Fitzgerald anchor starts the evening, followed by a performance by Lee Murdock, Great Lakes balladeer. The wreath ceremony includes a select Honor Guard escorting a memorial wreath to the Detroit River for receipt by an Honor Flotilla of both Canadian and United States government and commercial vessels.
