Gallery Visit
9:30–11 a.m.

Visit the galleries at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on your own time. Enjoy learning more detailed information about the exhibit from gallery guides stationed in the Gothic Room, the Built By the River exhibition and the William Clay Ford Pilot House. Gallery interpreters will be available in the Pilot House and Gothic Room exhibitions for question.

Curator Chat: River Recreating and Lakeside Leisure
11 a.m.–12 p.m.

Presented by Senior Curator, Joel Stone. Coffee, tea and pastries will be served during the presentation. Historically, Detroiters have found many ways to enjoy our regional waterways. It could be as simple as watching boats go by while picnicking on Belle Isle, or more active fun such as canoeing, swimming or sailing. This presentation will examine the myriad ways we embrace this wonderful resource.

Seniors enjoy 10% off all purchases in the gift shop.

Pre-registration and payment for Senior Days is due in advance. To register, please call the Education Department at 313.833.7979 or email kaylac@detroithistorical.org.
