The Dossin Great Lakes Museum will be open all week between the 2017 Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

From Tuesday, December 26 – Sunday, December 31, the Dossin Great Lakes Museum will feature daily film screenings at 11 am and 1 p.m. each day:

11am  “The Christmas Tree Ship”

The Rouse Simmons was a three-masted schooner which sank in Lake Michigan in a violent storm in 1912. The ship was bound for Chicago with a cargo of Christmas trees when it foundered off the coast of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, killing all on board. Running time: 35 minutes.

1pm “More Bob-lo Memories”

“More Bob-lo Memories” will bring you back to the fun-filled summer days of taking a steamboat ride down the Detroit River to our region’s one-of-a-kind island amusement park. Shown at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. Running time 42 minutes.
