Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. The Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Visit the Detroit Historical Museum on Museum Day for special family activities including crafts, dancing lessons and a music trivia game with prizes.

Claudette Rogers Robinson, “The First Lady of Motown” and former vocalist of the Miracles, has written a children’s book, Claudette’s Miraculous Motown Adventure, and has chosen the Detroit Historical Museum on Smithsonian Museum Day as the location of her inaugural reading. She'll read from her new book and sign copies immediately following.
