The Black Historic Sites Committee invites you to attend an evening of extraordinary talent from the one and only jazz song stylist and composer, Naima Shamborguer!

Naima was born and raised in Detroit Michigan and developed highly artistic and finely polished vocal abilities through extensive training in classical and jazz music. A Motown treasure, Naima wet her feet performing with the Jimmy Wilkins Jazz Orchestra, the Teddy Harris Junior New Breed Bebop Society, the Harlem Renaissance Jazz Orchestra and many of the Detroit International Jazz festivals. Subsequent years brought recordings and performance opportunities with the likes of Freddie Hubbard, Marcus Belgrave, James Carter, Geri Allen, Marion Hayden and many many many more. Naima continues to conduct vocal jazz workshops and has created stage shows.
