Film Screening: Parducci, The Man Who Made Detroit Beautiful

November 29 2018 | 6:00pm to November 30 2018 | 7:55pm

When architectural sculptor Corrado Parducci arrived in Detroit in 1924, he left his fingerprints on hundreds of buildings throughout Detroit and Michigan during the building boom. Parducci’s story is of an Italian immigrant who struggles with hardships throughout his almost 60-year career while becoming one of our country’s top architectural sculptors.

Parducci, the Man Who Made Detroit Beautiful is a documentary film directed by Jack P. Johnson. Johnson and Parducci researcher Jennifer Baross have traveled coast to coast interviewing architects, curators, conservators, historians, authors and his family, compiling the story of Parducci.

Join us for a special evening screening on Thursday, November 29, followed by a chat with the film makers. Admission is FREE.
