DLECTRICITY, Detroit’s stunning nighttime outdoor festival of art and light, returns for its third run in our Midtown neighborhood on September 22 and 23. Presented by DTE Energy Foundation, this year’s DLECTRICITY showcases 35 international, national and local artists, whose works will illuminate the Woodward corridor from Detroit Institute of Arts to the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD).

7 p.m. on September 22 - midnight on September 23 The Detroit Historical Museum's Woodward-facing facade will be the projection site for Reenactora video artwork by internationally acclaimed visual artist and educator Pope.L. Reenactor will run continuously in both daylight and nighttime starting at 7 p.m. on September 22.

7 p.m. to midnight on September 22 - September 23 Live soundtrack performances by local musicians Marcus Elliot and Ben Willis will accompany the film.

On both nights, the rest of the museum, including the popular new Detroit 67: Perspectives exhibit, will be open until 10 p.m. Look for new exhibits in the Detroit Artists Showcase (2nd Floor), the Warner, Norcross and Judd Automotive Showplace (1st floor) and the Booth Auditorium (lower level). We'll also have some fun glowing merchandise for sale along with snacks and beverages in the museum store.
