Celebrate the “313th of the 313” with a Week’s Worth of Fun at the Detroit Historical Museum! 

The Detroit Historical Society is celebrating Detroit’s 313th birthday with a full week of activities, starting Saturday, July 19.

 

Monday — Friday activities run from 11 a.m.— 3 p.m.

Thursday, July 24 – Celebrate Detroit’s 313th Birthday with Streets of Old Detroit Day, where your group can work together as History Detectives in a game that involves solving puzzles, answering questions, and learning about the buildings and features of our signature exhibit. In addition, look for special birthday treats and giveaways during the day.

Friday, July 25 -- Gallery of Innovation Day wraps up the week with the chance to test your innovative problem solving skills as you create prototypes and build with special materials.

Beginning July 19 through July 27, enjoy special free film screenings at the Detroit Historical Museum in celebration of Detroit’s 313th
Birthday! All films begin at 1 p.m. in the Louise C. Booth Auditorium.

  • Entertainment by Motor City Soul Club
  • $2 Atwater Brewery beers from 6 - 8 p.m.
