The Aadizookaan is deeply rooted in Detroit and is a dynamic group collaborating in various ways that specialize in multimedia productions, projects, services, events, products & installations. We seek guidance from ancestral indigenous-based knowledge systems for cultural production & storytelling experiences through traditional, contemporary, & experimental media, music, film & design. Kazzy The Gypsy
Kaz is a young interdisciplinary artist specializing in music production, sound design and live performance. Kaz is a part of the core team with The Aadizookaan, and sharpening his interdisciplinary artistry skills producing innovative projects with foundations in music, film, design and storytelling. He is a teaching artist and organizer with the “MAWADISIDIWAG” & the “ADZKN HQ” projects. Being an experimental hip hop artist & musician, he architects a vibe combining elements of rap, jazz, alternative rock, rhythm & blues that bring audiences through an uplifting experience with the cultural legacy of Detroit. Building community around the country, he provides live performances, workshops and cultural work that are rooted in healing, education and artist excellence pulling creative energy from the universe.
