Featuring Richard Blanding of Scrap Soils and Timothy Paule Jackson and Nicole Lindsey of Detroit Hives and moderated by Chef Phil Jones of Farmacy Food.

In Conversation: Don Was and John Sinclair

Join us for a conversation with renowned producer Don Was and activist and writer John Sinclair, moderated by WDET's Ann Delisi with musical performances by George Montrelle. 

The event will take place on Legends Plaza and include casting these Detroit legends' hands in cement for later display in the outdoor exhibit.

Film Screening: Concert of Colors: Unity in Diversity

After the 1967 rebellion, Detroit with its storied music history became a powerful engine for cultural renewal in the fight for diversity and equality. Music was very much a part of all that. “Concert of Colors: Unity in Diversity” is a retrospective film that celebrates 30 years of the Concert of Colors, all that was achieved and all the work still ahead.
