Detroit Paranormal Expeditions at the Detroit Historical Museum

7:00pm to 8:55pm

Rescheduled for Friday, Nov. 13 with two staggered entry times!

Detroit Paranormal Expeditions (DPX) researches and investigates reportedly haunted locations to help explain the causes of the phenomena experienced there. DPX will be at Detroit Historical Museum, LIVE in the Allesee Gallery of Culture!

The in-person event will include a presentation by DPX on paranormal activity found at the museum, and small group tours through The Streets of Old Detroit. Food will be available for purchase.

Virtual Annual Meeting and Recognition Reception

Please join us for our Virtual Annual Membership Meeting and Volunteer Recognition, featuring a presentation on the state of the Society, samplings of new virtual programming and Members voting to elect new trustees during the business meeting.

 

The meeting will be followed by recognition of Society Volunteers and Members celebrating milestone membership anniversaries.

Virtual Third Thursday Speaker Series: Kennikki Jones-Jones and Kathleen Weessies on Lovecraft Country

Join us for our November Third Thursday program as we discuss Lovecraft Country and the history behind the hit HBO show. Detroit-based filmmaker Kennikki Jones-Jones and Michigan State University Head Geoscience Librarian Kathleen Weessies will talk about Horror Noir, the Negro Motorist Greenbook and the show's Detroit connection.
