Fall Film Series: Poletown Lives
“Poletown Lives” tells the story of residents fighting to keep their neighborhood from being bulldozed for a GM plant that, in 2018, the company announced it has plans to close.The 1983 film documents the story of Poletown and the neighborhood protests around its scheduled demolition.
Director George Corseti will engage a lively Q& A session at the conclusion of the film (during the Saturday screening only).
Shown at the Detroit Historical Museum. Admission is FREE.

Bring Your Block Club
In our continued series, neighborhood associations and block clubs serving the City of Detroit are invited to host their next meeting at Detroit Historical Museum and see our newest exhibition, "Southwest Detroit: More Than A Place."
This visit includes:
- Free admission to the museum
- Complimentary on-site meeting space

Treats in the Streets
Admission is free!
Treats in the Streets is back at the Detroit Historical Museum on Sunday, October 27 with a spooktacular array of activities for the entire family.
Go on the candy hunt, be a history adventurer, enjoy cider and doughnuts with family, and make new friends while playing fun games. Come wearing your favorite costume for a day of spooktastic delight with lots of sweets treats, prizes, entertainment and not a trick in sight.
