This film documents the explosive growth of the Michigan Craft Beer industry and gives you the chance to meet brewers, bloggers, foodies and farmers who are spearheading this delicious movement.

Director Kevin Romeo and Rhino Media Productions travelled across Michigan, recording the stories and work of brewers, farmers and entrepreneurs driving the growth of Michigan craft beer.

The film’s website describes the film as celebrating “the old core values in a new generation of community-conscious and the proliferation of the Michigan craft beer industry. At the same time, the film addresses some challenges that brewers and entrpreneurs encounter in the midst of the industry’s rapid growth.”

Michigan’s craft beer industry has been slowly rising for the last decade, but has exploded recently; 2011 showed a 20 percent growth in breweries in the state, adding over 7,000 jobs in total. The film showcases Greenbush Brewing Company of Sawyer, MI; Paw Paw Brewing Company in Paw Paw, Kuhnhenn Brewing Company in Warren, and Short’s Brewing Company in Bellaire, among others.
